Privacy

satswise.io is an educational site about purchasing power and Bitcoin self-custody. We do not run accounts or logins. There is an optional email list if you opt in. This page says what still hits a third party when you visit.

Email list

The homepage and about page have an optional signup for satswise.io notes. Opt-in only: no pre-checked box, and visiting the site does not add you. The processor is Buttondown (buttondown.com). They store the address and send the confirmation plus later emails. We use the list only for occasional notes when euro-area or country snapshots update. Unsubscribe is in every mail. We do not sell addresses.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-5118M30XT3) to see which pages are read. That means Google may set cookies and process your IP address and device data. We do not send them names, emails, or wallet addresses. The optional email list is a separate opt-in and is not fed into Analytics.

Hosting

The site is served by Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare sees the usual connection data (IP, TLS, country) that any HTTPS host sees.

Affiliate links

The Blockstream Jade button is marked as an affiliate link. If you buy through it, we may earn a commission. The merchant then processes the purchase, not us.

Strike is the only place this site trusts to buy bitcoin. That is not an affiliate link. We do not earn a commission there.

Lightning tips

Optional Lightning donations go to a Wallet of Satoshi address shown on the site. The QR image is generated by a third-party QR service. If you do not want that request, do not load the widget; you can still copy the address as text.

What we do not do

• No user accounts. The mailing list is opt-in only.
• No sale of personal data.
• No cookie wall. This page is the disclosure.

This is not legal advice. If EU cookie/analytics rules require a stricter setup, we will tighten it. Charts on this site are illustrative snapshots, not a live ECB feed.
